Trail Running race 1:11:18 [5] 14.5 km (4:55 / km) +440m 4:16 / km
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw

Wicklow Way Relay leg 1. Not an ideal start, due to poor route-choice to Kilmashoge I arrived in the carpark as the race started, awesome teammate. By the time I'd put on my shoes I was about 2 mins behind everyone else. Felt terrible for the first 2k until I warmed up, passed 6-7 runners going up 2-rock mountain and one more on the descent. Pushed hard up the second big climb to Prince Williams seat but was completely alone until the last 500m when I nearly caught a runner that appeared ahead in the fog. Reasonably happy with my time would be interesting to see how I'd have done if I'd warmed up and started with the main race.

Jog from Kinsale along the harbour to Charles fort and along the cliffs, fantastic evening, legs stiff from last night's exertions.

Currabinny summer league, happy with my run, main time loss for control in the wrong place, lost 2-3 mins here, came at it from the unlucky direction. Otherwise running felt good.
