Wolligaine - 3hrs rogaining in the Wolli Creak area
My average milage in the last couple of weeks was around 20-30km and general fitness level poor so I knew this would be hard work.
Started in a group with Bart, Andy and James and the first 70 minutes was good fun. I always knew I will eventually hit the wall which was accelerated by unexpected heat and stupidly underestimated nutrition.
Last 45 min was a massive mental battle, including some walking on the last 3-4km and feeling like fainting, hungry and dehydrated. Finished a bit overtime, not ideal route choice, otherwise probably my current maximum.
Definitely keen to try a 6hrs bushy rogaining next time!
