| Huckleberry Hillside Hunt day 1. not a bad run - this terrain is not unlike Queensland. at least, not a bad run after number 1, where I wasn't yet into the map, lost contact and blew 3 minutes in the featureless but low(ish) visibility pines. lost concentration (no checking compass) out of 6, and again out of 11. must not do this (did it again out of 2 on the following day - seems to be becoming a bad habit). | ||

| baldwin hill, checking sites ahead of august's a-meet. this will be one technical a-meet for blue and red at least. mark your calendars. (pity i won't be there). 57F, intermittent rain (occasionally quite heavy). low intensity, of course, although ran some legs properly. | ||
