Orienteering 1:22:21 [3]11.78 km (6:59 / km)
ahr:168 max:178 spiked:22/23c shoes: sarva
oak mountain, pelham al. best run for some time, though i know how to run in this terrain, but the concentration was good and i made all the right route choices (especially counting re-entrants properly for navigation while contouring, something americans don't seem to know that they should do). nice sunny warmish winter day, max in the low 50s.

Event: US Team Fundraiser 3-day

Orienteering 39:57 [4]4.78 km (8:21 / km)
ahr:172 max:178 spiked:13/15c shoes: sarva
oak mountain wre, pelham al. i knew i had blown 2 minutes at number 8 and made an inefficient route choice to number 9, but i was very surprised to see how slow my time was. i was working hard, and as the next day shows, i can run faster than many. apparently not in short races though... sunny, high 40s, nice spur-gully terrain, and nice course by vlad.

10:45pm, 58F, breezy, shorts and t-shirt. mud everywhere after a warm day of snow melt and muddification. felt sluggish and low in glycogen; had to struggle to keep moving.
