Bike 18:00 [3] 4.4 mi (4:06 / mi)
shoes: shimano m-180b
To UR after dropping off car for repair.
Note
Discovered just as I was about to leave to drop off my car for repairs that I had no o-shoes from Saturday, and more importantly, no orthotics (because they were in o-shoes). Dashed out to Durand Eastman to look for them at the event site. Nowhere to be seen. Shaping up to be an even more expensive event than before ($500 in car damage plus $100 in lost shoes and about $400 in lost orthotics plus untold annoyance since I still get my orthotics made in Canberra). On the off chance, dropped by the park maintenance depot to see whether anyone had picked them up. Two workers were there; they happened to be the right people to ask, because they had picked them up after checking on the condition of the shelter and had dropped them in the dumpster right at the office. Reached into dumpster (mostly empty) to recover them. Shoes and orthotics recovered. Amazing.

I think I drove over them on leaving the event site, but they appear little the worse for it...

Then dropped car off for ten days of repairs. Taking the roof off is a big deal, apparently.

Edited: see http://attackpoint.org/viewlog.jsp/user_133/period... for answer to 'roof?'. Damage is on the order of $4K but insurance will pay most of it.
