Sunday Nov 26 #

1 PM

Run 21:17 [4] 4.97 km (4:17 / km) +50m 4:05 / km
shoes: Waverider 19s

Ran out of time to go for a longer one before lunch, but knew I wouldn't do one if I waited until afterwards.

Started off quite fast out the door, and decided just to keep going at that kind of pace to see what happened. Body didn't really notice what was going on, so by the time it started really complaining I was practically home, nice.

Saturday Nov 25 #

11 AM

Run 54:13 [3] 9.6 km (5:39 / km) +120m 5:19 / km
shoes: Mudroc 290s

This was fine, but not really much more than that. On Corstorphine a little bit, but nothing too exciting occurring

FwtN #4 - Braid Hills

It was far too cold for a warm-up, so I just grabbed my map and went. Eventually got warm around about number 8
Tam had given me the key intel that Mikey hadn't started too long before, so I was hoping to see him at some point on the course. Sure enough, he was heading towards 10 as I was going for 9, so I sped up slightly in the hopes of catching him. Kept it clean across the golf course, and was rewarded with the sight of him having to double back into 16, so briefly turned on the afterburners to catch him trashing through some gorse.
It felt like he was going for it up the hill to 19, so hung on as best I could, before outnavigating him to 20. Cracked a witty remark before I immediately made a mistake, but he'd foolishly followed me and I stayed ahead of him for a glorious win.

Nice course, was fun and stuff
