Helsington Barrows

Found the start fairly odd, ended up slightly off direction. My only mistake. Took it quite fast but after seeing Sarah a few hundred metres behind (started 4 minutes after me) sped up the pace to hold her off. Navigation was generally very good. Read control.descriptions so I knew where I was in the control circle. Sarah caught me at 11 and I tried to keep up but she got away pretty quick. A lot more speed work to be done!

Soooo good to get out after a week of doing nothing! And in the lakes as well!!
Pre ran a course for carol on bethecar. Parked at the bottom next to the lake, ran up the woods to no.1 and started from there. Found all the control sites pretty spot on. If the actual controls were out would have been near perfect for them all. Practiced properly planning legs to stop me hesitating throughout the legs and reading the control descriptions to speed up time in the control circle. Was about a k and a half to and from where I started and finished

Feel pretty crap today. Ill, and ankle and knee issues so reluctantly decided to take a day or 2 off. Physio next friday and doctors tomorrow to sort myself out
