Event: Jukola

Orienteering race (jukola) 1:33:24 [4]***** 11.2 km (8:20 / km)
spiked:5/23c slept:2.0 (sick) shoes: Olway Tiger
wow. was that awsome or what! My first race in scandanavia in 5 years and at night. was nervouse as hell. had a good run. lost time from navigation mistakes at 5(30 sec), 13(1min), 15(4:30), a few others got stuck in slow trains and slow route choices. Very happy with my run as still having jet lag troubles. navigated well, left the trains and trails a few times for a different route choices and it worked which was great.
My place looks impressive but poor jacko started in 750th on the grid so had to fight through allot of slow people. He got stuck in slow trains a bit. Alex put us up there with a good run.
I ran into a tree stump and got a nice 20cm x 6cm area bruised and swollen. looks really cool.
