Running warm up/down (on snowy trails) 18:07 [2] 2.18 km (8:19 / km) +36m 7:41 / km
ahr:142 max:165

The trails were a bit icier than yesterday, but it still wasn't bad. At one point I took a wrong turn (oops) because I wasn't sure where to go, but whatever.
12 PM

XC skating (Craftsbury) 1:04:17 [3] 10.16 km (6:20 / km) +169m 5:50 / km

We skied a few loops on round-a-bit and on the stadium, and then we went onto Ruthie's Run. I accidentally stopped my watch at the top of the hill, so it got split into two activities.

XC skating (Craftsbury) 35:56 [3] 5.06 km (7:06 / km) +85m 6:33 / km
ahr:143 max:176

Second half of Ruthie's
3 PM

XC skating (Craftsbury) 38:46 [3] 8.4 km (4:37 / km) +79m 4:24 / km
ahr:159 max:187

I had to get over 20km
Just a few loops on Lemon's Haunt and on Round-a-bit. I was surprised that the hills didn't kill me, and that I had energy for them after getting up the long hill on Ruthie's quite quickly and easily (it was still tiring, just easy compared to other days). The snow is getting faster, it's nice.

Running warm up/down (on snowy trails) 17:36 [2] 2.08 km (8:28 / km) +39m 7:44 / km
ahr:135 max:150

This was basically me and my dad figuring out where we can run. The trails were covered in mostly crunchy snow, so it wasn't too bad grip-wise.
12 PM

XC skating (Craftsbury) 1:39:34 [3] 15.58 km (6:23 / km) +243m 5:56 / km
ahr:144 max:191

We skied around on Ruthie's Run, and then we made some extra loops on Round-a-bit and Lemon's Haunt. The hill on Ruthie's still sucks, but unlike yesterday I pushed through the entire hill without stopping.
I felt a bit faster than yesterday. But I still can't say I felt good.
My mom and I signed up for the Gatineau Loppet last night... I'm not sure it was a good idea for us to sign up for 51km races both days (one on classic, the other skate) :/

XC skating (Craftsbury) 1:12:35 [3] 12.0 km (6:03 / km) +192m 5:36 / km
ahr:147 max:186

First skiing of the year. Not too horrible, but the skis felt slow on the snow. Might've just been me though.

XC skating warm up/down (Craftsbury) 7:00 [3] 1.78 km (3:56 / km) +28m 3:39 / km
ahr:156 max:170

My mom convinced me to do 3 more laps around the stadium.

Ice skating (figure skating) 1:32:00 [2]

Some Christmas skating. I worked on my spin a bit, and I got one really good one in. Pretty surprising given how little I've been skating recently.

10 AM

Running warm up/down 10:55 [2] 1.56 km (7:00 / km) +11m 6:46 / km
ahr:130 max:144

Running intervals (Rock Creek Park) 15:56 [4] 2.75 km (5:48 / km) +20m 5:35 / km
ahr:156 max:177

1 min on, 30 sec off (on one I did 1 min off bc I didn't want to start an interval in the middle of a hill)
Will add split times later

Running warm up/down (Slow and painful) 11:55 [2] 1.34 km (8:54 / km) +53m 7:25 / km
ahr:169 max:179

I tried to jog everything, so even up the boundary trail hill, although I wouldve been faster walking, I just wanted to try and push through. It was alright, I focused on quickening my step, and paid no mind to how slow I was (for like the first time).

Strength Training 10:00 [3]

Plank
Leg lifts
Side plank (1min per side)
Russian twists
Deadbugs
Elbow to knee (1 min per side)

Ice skating (Hockey skates) 48:00 [1]

9 AM

Running (Rock Creek Park) 50:30 [3] *** 7.15 km (7:04 / km) +157m 6:22 / km
ahr:160 max:177

I tried doing the ZMR mapreading exercise, but I ended up doing only half of it, and probably all incorrectly. It's just too difficult for me, every time I tried it I just didn't really know which circle to match with each control. It's too hard for me, I guess. Honestly, I don't even think I could do it accurately as an armchair exercise, I'll probably try that instead, though, so I can get used to doing it.

Note
(rest day)

I spent the whole first half of the day cleaning my room and preparing for my aunt and cousin who were coming to visit, so I didn't have time to run :(
