Biking (Beach Dr) 1:20:48 [3] 25.12 km (3:13 / km) +212m 3:05 / km
ahr:139 max:168

It's disgustingly humid outside, I hate it
Last night I considered going for a run early in the morning, but I woke up and nope, definitely not. Too tired.
So I settled for biking. Honestly I thought I was gonna bike more than this based on what I had planned, but I guess not.

Biking warm up/down (Rock Creek Trail) 23:33 [3] 7.2 km (3:16 / km) +24m 3:13 / km

I couldn't focus on my work so I decided to bike to that "new" trail I found and do intervals there even though it was 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32 Celsius) outside

Running warm up/down (Rock Creek Trail) 7:44 [3] 1.06 km (7:18 / km) +2m 7:14 / km

I had to run to the trailhead from where I locked my bike

Running (Rock Creek Trail) 26:14 [4] 3.75 km (7:00 / km)

5x 4min on, 1:30 off
I swear every time I passed someone my interval ended and I started walking right in front of them I felt like such a jerk
also I kept on accidentally running the interval for an extra 3 or 4 seconds, and accidentally stopping the activity instead of pressing lap, so my first few rests were like up to 10 seconds longer

Biking warm up/down (Rock Creek Trail) 29:27 [3] 7.3 km (4:02 / km) +37m 3:56 / km

I ended up walking back to my bike, so I guess the biking was a cool down, athough it had nothing to do with cooling, because it was h o t

Running long (Rock Creek Trail) 57:16 [3] 8.15 km (7:02 / km) +28m 6:54 / km
ahr:149 max:178

Not as long as I originally wanted and I don't really have an excuse for that, I guess I was just being lazy

Hiking (Rock Creek Trail) 1:26:47 [3] 6.41 km (13:32 / km) +47m 13:04 / km

still had to get home somehow
4 PM

Biking (Rock Creek Trail) 13:40 [3] 2.62 km (5:13 / km) +52m 4:45 / km

went to buy some stuff in Target

Biking 11:38 [3] 3.3 km (3:32 / km) +30m 3:22 / km

So i was an idiot and forgot the backpack at home so i put the two grocery bags on my handlebars and just hoped they wouldn't smack my wheels too much

thankfully it was mostly downhill

Running warm up/down (Rock Creek Park) 10:05 [2] * 1.14 km (8:51 / km) +22m 8:04 / km
ahr:129 max:138

Started doing the map reading exercise on the warmup cuz I wasn't sure I'd be able to finish it with ony 30 sec rest intervals

Running intervals (Rock Creek Park) 21:30 [4] ** 3.14 km (6:51 / km) +12m 6:43 / km
ahr:128 max:146

10x 1min on, 30 sec off, 6x 30 sec on, 30 sec off
I did fairly okay, just on my 8th interval I only did 20 sec because on the interval before that, I was running it uphill, and I still had a bit of the hill to finish on the 8th interval, and I basically died when I got to the top of it, so I stopped the interval, gave myself 30 secs of rest, and then did a 1min 40sec interval for my next one because 1) it was downhill and 2) I wanted to make up for the time I didn't do

I did the higher/lower part of the spur/reentrant map reading exercise during the rest intervals (I walked, but not so much because of the map reading, more because I just wouldn't have lasted if I jogged).

my cooldown was walking back home, I didn't measure it though. I was dying, I got very unused to hills.
7 PM

Biking (Rock Creek Trail) 1:36:54 [3] 23.7 km (4:05 / km) +80m 4:01 / km
ahr:133 max:158

I discovered a new trail that i had no clue even existed even though ive biked past it like 100 times.
It's a cool trail tho

Hiking (Overall Run) 6:21:21 [3] 21.36 km (17:51 / km) +1000m 14:28 / km

Okay so this hike was supposed to be 7.2km shorter and half the climb it ended up being. So why was it longer and more hilly? Because my mom forgot a scarf at the TOP of the mountain (or hill or whatever). And she didn't realize it until we were at the complete bottom, like 3km away from finishing the hike and resting at a water pool where she wanted to swim.

I wasn't going to swim anyways, so I started heading back up the mountain, got to the top (my legs were killing me at this point because it's like 432m of climb in 3.6km), found the scarf that was thankfully still there otherwise I would've probably freaked, and then headed back down.

About 750 m from the top I met my mom, who started coming up the hill after swimming for a bit. So we continued back down and my legs were very shaky. Being sore from skating yesterday did not help.

Does this count as hill training?
