there's a fine line between training and torture and boy am I bad at finding it
wu -> 8x 800m @ 4:30-5:00/km pace (consistency was not my strength today) + 3 mins rest -> CD
almost PR'd in the 10k so that's pretty cool? it's almost as if training is paying off...

tiny tiny tempo to enjoy some speed and to start breaking in my new spikes. so I was avoiding pavement like the plague.
tempo pace was meant to be ~6min/km, ended up being 5:51/km

practically sprinting up a mountain, stopping in a pub to wait over a storm and one of my classmates got attacked by a dog (she's ok, just got pretty scraped and bruised on her leg) so the instructor went to take her to the hospital just in case, leaving the rest of us to finish the excursion on our own... it ended up being more of a pub excursion rather than a geology excursion, whoops :) (we still got credit for it though!)

bad end... I was trying to catch the bus to make it to orienteering training but the instructor was SO nitpicky about random details when checking my worksheet so I had to fix it THREE TIMES and missed the two busses that would have got me to training on time. needless to say I was pretty mad.

day 2 of the Všeobecná geologie excursion
today kinda sucked, I was super dizzy all am and there was way more standing around than walking, and half the time we couldn't hear what the professor was saying. So lots of confusion. But then it started pouring so we stopped by a pub, got a beer, and kept going once it cleared up. gotta say that beer helped, at least mood-wise.

lots of sun, lots of walking, lots of rocks, a bug attacked my eyeball, also Freiberg geologic compasses are *chef's kiss*
we somehow all ended up sleeping 4 hours or less. even those of us that tried to go so sleep early

I thought that loop was a lot flatter. ended up being approx. 200m slight decline, 600m slight incline. I ran the last loop in reverse because my quads were dead after the 5th. still was hard.

wu -> 6x 800m @ ~5min/km + 3min rest -> cd to the store to buy me some kefír
