easy run that wasn't so easy cuz whoops... probably ran this in the grey zone but I was having fun and I wanted to challenge myself on a hill.

ahr:115 max:143 shoes: La Sportiva Ascension shoes

a series of unfortunate events:
1. stayed up until 2 am drinking (I wanted to go to sleep at 1:30 but Vojta and Ben wouldn't let me)
2. Before going to sleep we agreed that three of us would meet at 7am to go swim in the waterfalls/lake
3. They went to sleep at 5am
4. They didn't wake up at 7
5. I saw Jirka and convinced him to go hike up a hill with me
6. the map was shit so there was a lot of off trail and some scramble
7. We were late to breakfast (but so was everyone else)
8. Vojta and Ben didn't get up until 9am (which is when we were leaving)
9 AM

Hiking (Odlezelské jezero) 35:00 [1] 2.6 km (13:28 / km) +72m 11:49 / km

Running intervals (Betlém) 59:42 intensity: (4:07 @1) + (21:01 @2) + (20:23 @3) + (13:02 @4) + (1:09 @5) 8.62 km (6:56 / km) +94m 6:34 / km
ahr:143 max:185 shoes: ASICS Camo

wu -> 6x 800m @ 5km pace + 3 min rests -> cd
I was hitting pace wonderfully (tbf half of the intervals were downhill but I wanted easier intervals ok)

on a gravel road + more forestish road. my L foot HURTS from the gravel because of a hole in my shoe sole... yeah I really need new shoes. I don't know what to buy and I'm lazy to research it but I really really should get some soon.
4 PM

Backpacking (Chrášťovice) 16:28 [1] 1.46 km (11:17 / km)
ahr:97 max:119 shoes: La Sportiva Ascension shoes

the bus couldn't make it all the way to the camp so we had to carry all our stuff

walk/jog (Perštejn) 1:25:23 intensity: (12:04 @1) + (31:34 @2) + (38:57 @3) + (2:48 @4) 9.02 km (9:28 / km) +436m 7:38 / km
ahr:135 max:175 shoes: ASICS Camo

shoes and shorts were soaked from yesterday, so I was a lil cold at first. but immediately I went up a steep hill so I warmed up fast. Also 99% of the climb came from the first 4.5km... originally I had planned to do a ~5km loop but it was just so nice out there, I stretched the downhill out from 500m to 4.5km...

I did walk most of the hills (and some), but I tried to run up a couple sections. I was trust trying to not completely kill myself on the run, since I still have day 3 of the excursion to survive today.

Running (Chabařovice) 37:02 intensity: (49 @1) + (1:21 @2) + (27:59 @3) + (6:53 @4) 5.1 km (7:16 / km) +28m 7:04 / km
ahr:154 max:171 shoes: ASICS Camo

half on pavement, half on muddy logging trails. ran without music for the first time in a while, I didn't eat before my run, and it was pouring rain so it was a weird one. I ended up running a bit harder than "easy" on the pavement because I hate pavement, the rain was pushing me, plus speed is necessary when jumping over puddles.

Walk (Chabařovice - Chlumec) 1:30:00 [1] 7.7 km (11:41 / km) +80m 11:07 / km
shoes: La Sportiva Ascension shoes

day 1 of the petrology excursion. significantly less hiking than last week's excursion, but we made up for it by searching for a pub that was open. went to the neighboring village, there they told us the pub was about to close, so we had one drink there and continued on to the neighboring village, where the pub was closed. So we hiked back, disappointed and sober
