Monday May 29

run tempo 50:00 [4] **
slept:5.0 weight:73kg shoes: Asics 1090
7 legs of Jukola. Bicentennial Park.
Great training session - I am starting to feel a lot more confident in my running, because I am actualy keeping pretty good pace with the others, not really falling off. Ran hard and constant, great area for night easy technical training, we definitely need more of these sort of areas in sydney.
run warm up/down 25:00 [2]
shoes: Asics 1090
Run from Bens place to the start of training and back. Dodgin' the doggie landmines.

Friday May 26

run 30:00 [3] 6.0 mi (4:59 / mi)
slept:6.0 weight:73kg shoes: Asics 1090
Easy run around Tunks Park and surrounds.

Got a pedometer today to wear with a work challenge for the next few months. Maybe TommyQ could use it with all the powerwalking he is doing lately. I'm supposed to wear the bloody thing all the time but I cant see that happening. I think I'll just work out how many steps to everywhere and work with that.
I do ~1000 steps every 6 minutes when I run normally. Its a start.

Thursday May 25

run 50:00 [3] 10 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics 1090
Ran from home to Lindfield to go to Stingers training, across to Artarmon then up the Monoxide Trail. I love traffic.
run 45:00 [5]
slept:7.0 weight:73kg shoes: Asics 1090
2 reps up Grosvenor Rd hill (~8 mins each), with Ben, Prong, Robbie, Clare, Jose, Phoebe. Ben, Prong, Robbie did 3. Knee was too sore to do more.

Wednesday May 24

Soccer 30:00 [3]
slept:7.0 weight:73kg (sick) shoes: New Balance 781
Lost 1-0 to some guys, had some thumpin shots on goal though. I think we actually play worse when we have a structured passing game.
Straight home to origin. I think the cold is almost gone.
Attackpoint is really starting to piss me off with the 'cannot find server' thing all the time.
C • Belting the ball 3
Road Ride 30:00 [3]
Rode to and from soccer on the mtb.

Monday May 22

Orienteering tempo (Stingers training) 50:00 [4] **
slept:8.0 weight:73kg (sick) shoes: New Balance 781
Stingers training at Sydney Park, 3 courses of 15 to 20 minutes each. Great fun, felt pretty good, cold raininess cant be good for cold. Rellay cool watching the line of headlights bobbing around the parkland.
Thanks to Phoebe and Jose for the feed after.
run warm up/down 30:00 [2]
slept:8.0 weight:73kg (sick) shoes: New Balance 781
From Phoebe and Joses to Sydney Park and back.

Saturday May 20

Orienteering race 38:00 [4] ***
slept:3.0 weight:73kg (sick) shoes: New Balance 781
Decided to run the race at Macquarie Woods today. Big mistake. Absolutely screwed me, had a migraine headache all night.
Put in effort in the race, but felt I was high revving in first. Unbelievably ran to number 9 instead of number 1 (close to each other on the loops) so I dnf'd anyway, didnt really care.
Ran 38, RuneO won in 29ish.
run warm up/down 20:00 [2]

Thursday May 18

run hills 40:00 [3]
(sick) shoes: Asics 1090
At Observatory Hilll with the usual crowd. Did 7 before I finally succumbed. I think the others did 12 or so.

Soccer 30:00 [3]
slept:6.0 weight:73kg (sick) shoes: New Balance 781

Road Ride 40:00 [3]
(sick) shoes: New Balance 781
Riding to/from soccer on the Jamis. Bloody cars.

Thursday May 11

run hills 1:27:00 [3]
slept:7.0 weight:73kg shoes: New Balance 781
Hills at my place with Ben, Prong, Clare, Andy, Phoebe, Jose and Ian. Did 8 different hills over the run, down at Tunks park and Primrose Park, tried to make it a bit different, with fairly easy between. I think I will do this session more often, at a quicker pace. Didnt have a light but the good people at nokia put one on my phone so i took that and it worked quite well.
Just realised family guy and american dad are on tonight. Revised my sleep hours down one.

Wednesday May 10

run 45:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance 781
Warm up down to from soccer at Waverton. Actually felt real good.
Soccer 30:00 [3]

Lost 5-0 to some pommy gits. played well though.

Monday May 8

run tempo (Fairyland) 49:00 [4]
slept:8.0 weight:74kg shoes: Asics 1090
Jukola 2nd leg run. Night tempo run with Robbie, Prong and Ben. Started at lane cove and did Fairyland twice, once one way then once back, both in about the same time. Lost a bit of time to the others in the technical parts, but i felt like i held my own in the easy stuff, just being a pussy i guess. Happy with my effort.
First run with my brand new timex watch, pretty sweet. Cant bring myself to outlay for an HRM, I dont really take things seriously enough.
C • watch 6
run warm up/down 40:00 [3]
shoes: Asics 1090
Ran to lane cove from lindfield and back for the tempo run.

Sunday May 7

Orienteering race (Metro #1) 40:54 [4] 4.2 km (9:44 / km)
slept:8.0 weight:73kg shoes: New Balance 781
Metro #1 at Pennant Hills Park. As usual the course was a greeny orange standard, didnt mess up any controls but I died after halfway.
Andys birthday drinks at the 'Cross didnt help things. Got the ten points but the team went down anyway.
run warm up/down 20:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance 781
Warm up for the orienteering race.
run long 1:35:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance 781
Ran back from Pennant Hills Park to Artarmon with Ben and Andy. Ben turned back at De Burghs bridge because he drove, and I ran to the chatswood golf course where I completely died, walked the rest of the way there (its not included, I wasnt drinking coffee at the time). Stuffed.

Saturday May 6

run long 2:05:00 [3]
slept:4.0 weight:74kg shoes: Asics 1090
Figtree loop with Andy. Felt quite good. Ran the non-technical parts faster and the rougher sections a bit slower.
I think my new better diet is actually working. Didnt completely die after an hour and had a nice constant level of energy the whole run.
C • diet 11

Thursday May 4

run 35:00 [3] 7 km (5:00 / km)
slept:8.0 shoes: Asics 1090
Run around Cammeray at night. Nothing special.

Wednesday May 3

Soccer 30:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance 781
Lost 1-0 to the leaders of the comp this week. It was good to have a full team though. Let in the goal in the last 2 minutes which was pretty painful.
run 35:00 [3]
weight:74kg shoes: New Balance 781
Too and from soccer, actually ran at a decent pace, not just a warm up/down. Good to get something done, too much work the last few days!
