Sunday Apr 29

Orienteering race (Metro #1) 40:00 [4] 4 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Asics 2100
Metro at Carlingford. Felt really slow from the day before and stayed up nearly all night watching the Aussies win the World Cup! Typical metro course.

Saturday Apr 28

Adventure Race race (AROC) 3:50:00 [4]
shoes: Asics 2100
See FatRats log for details hopefully.

I felt pretty good the whole way. Felt competent on the bike which is unusual these days witht the amount I do. We couldnt arsed doing the extra MTB controls so 6th into the finish became 10th or so in the washup.
Orienteering race (NSW Night Champs) 1:25:00 [4] 10 km (8:30 / km) +235m 7:36 / km
shoes: New Balance 781
Started pretty slowly, because my LED torch was very low on light. Lazydave caught me 2 mins as stumbled around in the dark going to 2, then I decided to run back to the finish and get Margos light which is much better and she had just finished. Went back out and completed the course, probably lost about 10-15mins stuffing around. Got going and pushed the whole way, but was feeling slow from the race in the morning.

Friday Apr 27

Road Ride (on MTB) 30:00 [3]
shoes: Shimano MTB
Just givin the MTB a thrash in the morning to make` sure the crank is OK. It is!

Thursday Apr 26

Road Ride (on MTB) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Shimano MTB
Down to Bunnings to get Loctite for the crank, over to Andy and Matts to get a bag of stuff, then home. The new cycleway along the Gore Hill Freeway is really cool.

Wednesday Apr 25

Road Ride (on MTB) 1:00:00 [2]
shoes: Shimano MTB
Went looking for a bike shop open on Anzac Day but they were all respectfully playing 2-up and drinking beer. Across the bridge to clarence street and back with no luck.

Monday Apr 23

run warm up/down 30:00 [3] 6 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: asics 1110
Ran down to Gore Hill Oval for strides. Rainy.
run intervals 17:00 [5] 2.6 km (6:32 / km)
slept:7.0 shoes: asics 1110
10 x 130m across gore hill oval with jog recovery. Felt quite good, even if I almost drowned a few times. Felt tempted to do a big bellyslide at the end of the last, but pulled out. Not impressive.
