Sunday Jul 29

Orienteering (Metro League) 38:00 [3] 3.2 km (11:52 / km)
shoes: New Balance 781
Running division 3, which I think made me a bit complacent when I lost 5 mins at 1, but got back on track after that, not real quick but consistent. Nice forest with small rock outcrops.
Still got fastest time by 6 mins.
run warm up/down 12:00 [2] 2 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: New Balance 781
run 2:22:00 [3] 28 km (5:04 / km)
shoes: Nike Stucture Triax 9
Bit of an epic run from Parramatta to Artarmon with Andy. Watched the Eels get beaten by the Sea Eagles, then set out in the right general direction. A bit too far north through Telopea added a bit of time and so did getting lost in North Ryde RSL car park after a short cut went wrong. Checking google maps our route was real close to optimum after the first part. The hill up Mowbray Rd was a real killer.

Saturday Jul 28

run 48:00 [3] 10 km (4:48 / km)
shoes: Nike Stucture Triax 9
Felt like I had the startings of a flu all day, real tired (although that probably letour, those riders think they are doing it tough!) and unenergetic.
Then I got out just before dinner and felt like I was floating, wasnt putting a foot wrong. Even up the hills I was doing it easy. Not too quick though, just didnt hurt so much.
No doubt I will feel like rubbish tomorrow.
Went down to the bridge, under the bridge (downtown), aorund Luna Park and Lavender Bay and up West St home.

Friday Jul 27

run 41:00 [3] 8 km (5:08 / km)
shoes: Nike Stucture Triax 9
Hauled myself up out along the freeway cycleway. Felt pretty good, especially after last nights effort. Time for a beer.

Thursday Jul 26

run 20:00 [5] 3 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Asics 2100
5 x Wonga Rd stair hills, almost killed me. I've never felt stomach sick after intense exercise before but tonight was the night. Also massive lactic after 3 meant the last two were more of a slow weights session rather than a springy plyometric type action.
Good to get it done though.
run 30:00 [3] 6 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Asics 2100
Ran down to Primrose Park for the stair intervals at a good pace then wobbled home on numb legs.

Wednesday Jul 25

run 42:00 [3] 8 km (5:15 / km)
shoes: Nike Stucture Triax 9
Just managed to snatch a rest day away from the jaws of laziness. Got back to watch le tour, so that shows late it was. Those rest days can breed like rabbits if you're not careful, especially around here.

Monday Jul 23

run 54:00 [3] 11 km (4:55 / km)
shoes: Nike Stucture Triax 9
Down to Balls Head, a lap, then back. Got out straight after work so a few people out running, I usually go a bit later like 9 oclock. The run was an uptempo pace for 10 mins then I would overcook and walk for 30 secs then repeat.

Saw Shep prying open his third eye. Ugly.
