10 AM

Hill Running 1:09:24 [4] 7.93 mi (8:45 / mi) +510m 7:18 / mi

Run from Purin Hill car park over East Lomond, out to West Lomond and back the same way over East Lomond again. Was a bit tight for time to get back before Hanna's race started and made it only by 2mins. Ran a bit harder than would've liked though kept it relaxed enough on the flatter bits. Lovely sunny day with a SW breeze. Hanna ran well and most importantly enjoyed it. First Scottish hill race!

Hill Running 1:46:14 [3] 9.59 mi (11:05 / mi) +950m 8:28 / mi

Set off from Dollar up Bank Hill then into the mist at around 400m. Headed up Kingseat but traversed round the north side looking for snow in the gullies. Found some patches that won't last more than a few days. Headed across to Andrew Gannel, then zig zagged across Ben Cleuch from NE side to South side then over to the burn between Ben Cleuch and Ben Buck where I found a snow patch with a cool tunnel running through it. Headed over to Ben Buck Burn then popped out onto the Land Rover track, just where Dave Scott was stopped. Had a chat before a quick run back down the Land Rover track to Alva Glen car park. Really good fun run and challenging navigation though did it off instinct rather than map/compass (did have a compass though!).

Orienteering 16:57 [3] 2.02 mi (8:23 / mi) +50m 7:47 / mi

Dunblane West Orienteering - Wasn't really feeling like doing the Green or Blue course after the hill run, but didn't want to do nothing so opted for a trot round the Orange. Still good practice trying to flow through the controls. 16mins was enough!

2 sets of Oregon circuits (20secs on/off). Glad to be able to do them again. Rib fine, only felt it slightly on the abs.

Trail Running 45:22 [4] 6.57 mi (6:54 / mi) +180m 6:22 / mi

Run from work via Ravelston and Craigcrook Road to North end of Corrie Hill. Did quite a hard effort along traverse path, then kept pace brisk all the way back to work. Felt OK and enjoyed pushing the pace. Really like the transitions in pace on Corrie Hill.
