Yellow course with Hanna. Oh dear Hanna was unsure at one of the junctions and I didn't look closely enough at her map and sent her the totally wrong way. Oops. Then we missed number 9 on way to the finish as Hanna thought it was 6 not 9 and I didn't check. Poor Hanna has no chance with me trying to teach her orienteering.

A holiday in Keswick wouldn't be complete without a run up Skiddaw and it was great. Clear on top and no wind, easily the best conditions I have ever ran it in! And didn't see anyone else either. Worked hard to the top then it was another painful descent especially the steep bit on Jenkins Hill. Quads so sore couldn't get near them with the foamroller.

A quick shower then straight off for a lovely family walk up Cat Bells. Hanna loved it.
Then off to swimming. Nothing like a bit of relaxing on holiday.

Run up Blencathra from Threlkeld, up Doddick and down Bleasefell. Feeling a bit fitter on the climb today then snails pace on descent as quads so sore that every step hurt! Unfortunately no views as in the thick clag.
Followed by lovely afternoon in the sunshine at Wray Castle. Hanna and I both demonstrating poor balance with big falls on the balance beams.

Run up Lonscale Fell. First time up this hill and it was unexpectedly nice. It also had very handy fences for me to follow to stop me getting lost in the clag. Going to have DOMS tomorrow though as quads not used to a steep descent.

Lovely walk up Stile End with Hanna and Mark. The sun came out and it was gorgeous.
Followed by doing the Autumn activity trail at Whinlatter with Hanna which was 2 miles so we were tired out by mid afternoon!

Got dropped off at Thornthwaite to run up to Whinlatter but disaster got round corner and path closed for forestry work. Was just running back and steeling myself for a mindnumbing roadrun to Whinlatter when I had the genius idea that I could run the opposite way to Powter Howe and run the mega steep way up Barf. Hurray. Very wet and boggy but infinitely better than the road. Then on to Lord's Seat and Seat Howe and down to Whinlatter. Amazing how flooded the paths were.

Another Latrigg run. Certainly didn't escape the rain today. Absolutely chucking it down and the Latrigg path was flowing water. Legs were feeling dead today and it was a crawl uphill. Oops must've got carried away with the excitement of a Latrigg run yesterday and gone too fast.
