While I was doing drills I got chatting to a bloke who was also doing drills and looked decent so to save him from slogging out a solo session in the wind, Brodie and I joined in wth him. Then just as we were about to start he revealed he trains with Melbourne Track Club so we were starting to worry that we'd get absolutely reked. Turns out Brodie and I absolutely crushed him and added on the extra min reps at the end as well which he didn't do. So now I'm just waiting for the call from Nic Bideau inviting me to join MTC.

Great Train Race
Very enjoyable stuff, nice to do a big fun run and loved the course through the dandies. Other than a small front group (which I didn't get on) it got very spread out very quickly. So ended up in a bit of a gap for most of it, could never quite manage to pull in the guy in front of me but also luckily held off the first woman who I started to see behind me a bit near the end. A decent enough run overall although nothing special and I did have a weaker section on the gradual climb from 8-10ks, think I ended up in 12th.

Extremely poor performance from the train this year though, the driver was talking a lot of smack on the start line but couldn't deliver.
