Running (Easy) 40:37 [2] 8.54 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: NB Fuel Cell Rebel

Bought myself a post-exams treat yesterday and tested them out today. I rate very very much, a quality shoe.

shoes: NB 1080 (white)

Been a busy few days and body feeling a little tired so made the call to just do an easy run after work instead of a session. Very happy I decided that though because this was an absolute stunner of a run, linking up all my favourite trails in Yarra Bend. Melbourne at it's absolute best, will miss this but also I know there'll be plenty of nice skog to enjoy over the next year.

8x1k (200 jog)
At Melbourne Uni track with Max, Lisa and Lachie. Nice training with a small but quality group, feeling quite good to start with but struggled through the last couple of reps. Think it's just tiredness that's built up from exams because I know I can usually sit on these kind of paces fine.

From monash into the city along gardners creek trail. Always a good route for a bit of fit or mum.

Orienteering 46:46 [4] 7.46 km (6:16 / km)
shoes: inov8 x-talon 212

Bendigo Bush Classic - Kooyoora
Poor discipline to the first control, a bit off on my bearing through the nothing then even once I got contact on the other side, still rushed into a parallel error. Picked slow lines to 2 and 4 which wasted time and compass wasn't great on a couple of the vague ones after that. So not a great first 1/3 of the course but very happy with how I followed my processes after that when we went back into Bermuda Triangle properly (other than the last control where I drifted a little mid leg). Valuable experience like usual when you come to kooyoora and get beaten up a bit but happy I managed to get things under control after that

Orienteering 39:16 [2] 5.02 km (7:49 / km)
shoes: inov8 x-talon 212

Extra training after, long leg over to a control pick where my compassing was better. Started a corridor but it was well hard and I lost contact a little way in and decided I'd done enough for today so headed back.
