Nice little run through the wombat state forest including up Blue Mountain and finishing off with discovering the perfect terrain for Aus Middle champs 2022 east of Blackwood (Fredo and I got very very excited, we’ve found the new Creswick Diggings)

Combination of leaving a bit late, Fredo spending 10min taking photos of an emu and the route being much longer than planned meant we were cutting it pretty fine to make it up to Camel’s Hump for the sunset but was well worth it, a beaut evening

First event back, how good. Thought we might be on for some sub 4s today but the northern part was actually pretty thick. Fredo just got me too but I'm going to pull a flog move and blame it on the fact I forgot my si air. So good to be back out racing in the forest though, happy days

Nice tricky middle on Bermuda triangle including one bit I'd never been to. Not the cleanest through the first bit but then settled into some really solid orienteering. Went through Fredo at some point but didn't realise so was a bit suprised when he caught back up at 14. Was a bit more hesitant once I was running with him, lost contact a couple of times but happy that I was disciplined enough to get it back and avoid bigger losses.
