Adventure Race race 11:14:51 [3]

Spring Challenge 9 hour, with Jacqui Keay and Zoe King
11th overall, 6th in Open

Horrible run to start; slow in the raft; big bad 20min nav error in stage 3 (bike) only a 30min leg; lots of errors in 4 (trek)(need to read contours better) but feeling good on foot, found some electric fences to keep us awake and a patch of blackberry; did pretty well in 5 (bike) but mentally hesitating, bit of bike pushing and very muddy, Jac came off; got the 5th fastest time for 6 (trek) even though Jac was in agony with her knees - worked well as a team helping each other through. Didn't do any 360s in the canoe (across estuary) then a beach run to the finish

Headed over to Golden Bay for Spring Challenge

shoes: Giant Trance 2

Cruise up to 4corners and back to test bike after service. Took compulsory gear and water which a bit of a mistake this close to race, got a sore back, esp after I tried to fix it with some antiflam and made it way worse (was great 2 days later though)

Loaded up pack with compulsory gear and water and headed up Grampians. Resisted urge to run. Ankle good
