Run with Brent. Felt quite good, best my hips and legs have felt for ages. Loop up road, along tram line track, nice and interesting track. Stopped and dipped feet in Kaitoke hot springs. Hot. Coffee wore off and didn’t feel so great running back out, boring flat track too

Solo adventure from Kiwiriki. Climbed up to Maugapiko lookout/snack stop (hot, rocky, cool views), along Forest road (pink, purple clay at times) faster going, big kauri trees and info panels was worth the stop, down Line W track and back along Kiwiriki. Found a freshwater swim hole before last climb. Then more swims back at bay. Roy came over with dingy and we waited for Brent to get back from his long run

Walk with Brent and Roy, to FitzRoy for burgers, chips and cold fizzy, groceries at Store, and an ice block. Back along track and up to waterfall (quick swim), back to Akapoua campsite for a shower (cold, only shower for week).
