Running (Recovery ) 38:39 [1] 5.36 km (7:13 / km) +65m 6:48 / km

Looks like the GPS stuffed but I reckon the timing and distance is right so I don’t care :) smashed up both my knees quite badly yesterday through sheer clumsiness, so was just testing for any deeper damage - wasn’t 100% pain free but didn’t feel like something that’d concern me as long term

Orienteering 1:31:35 [3] 10.63 km (8:37 / km) +146m 8:04 / km

Really happy with the first half though, felt like I got into good control flow and managed to plan ahead for both long legs which is progress :)))) Unfortunately, didn't eat nearly enough before running and didn't pack any race fuel even though it was a black lol which meant crashing halfway through and turning back. Bertie ended up doing around 18km so probably the right decision to turn back when I did!!

3x 600m w 10” recovery
Just couldn't find a good place to do this with so many people, flooded paths and mud so every 600m rep is somewhere different lol - really need to just start doing these on a track

Night-O #2 - Midway
With Sophie, taking it in turns so focus on planning ahead and flow. Wasn't too much risk of mistake because of the map familiarity, but was intense in some areas with short legs

Running intervals 46:03 [3] 7.54 km (6:06 / km) +77m 5:49 / km

Very busy with flooded paths, which meant a lot of dodging and slipping around mud, which slowed down the pace a bit but was aiming for sub 4min/km and achieved that (just) so job done.
Timings: 3.05, .12, .06, .12, .17
Avg time 3.10, avg pace 3.58
