Walking 2:20:00 [2]

A hike to check out some of the sri chinmoy 104 runners. Tired myself out pretty thoroughly on a sunny spring day. Went to B&C first and stopped for a brief chat, then onto ridge, back to bike track, through aid station where I chatted to the guy just setting up. From there followed the 104 course to the black mtn reserve, then I went up LBM shoulder (where it's been burnt - wonder when?), along LBM firetrail to saddle, up very steep trail to main footpath, to top. Refilled my water as a very tired runner came through. Down a dirt ST, left along circum then sat on seat to eat some fruit and watch some runners come around corner. Cheered them on and was glad I was sitting down, my niggles wouldn't let me get very far at the moment. Did a tiny bit of running here and there.

Home via a not very direct route but didn't drop into B&Cs for tea as I felt like shower and lunch etc. Achilles a bit sore now, oh well. Gave it some rest and massage.

Just celebrating a number under 64, hasn't happened since Feb (although I sometimes go for months without measuring).
A long rehearsal today, I was too spent for a run.

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga/strength at home) 45:00 [1]

Now that felt really really good, and I felt different the next morning too.

Strength Stability Suppleness 1:00:00 [2]

Digging, hard work, bit light headed afterwards. Good job done!

Walking 40:00 [3]

2 blackie reps in warm sunshine and on no lunch. Felt fine after the first one so decided to risk a second after a gentle jog down one of the dirt tracks. Took a detour to admire the fast running stream near quarry. Up SEQ again to top, not feeling dizzy or hungry at all. Had a drink, then down the bitumen path and drove home via shops to have a Ym afternoon; lovely!

Running 20:00 [2]

Walking 20:00 [2]

commuting in rain, when it's too wet for bike, feet are better.

Running 12:00 [3]

part of the legs commute. R hammie insertion still annoying, slightly less tho.

Cycling 25:00 [2]

to and from the run up.

Running (Blackie Run-up) 23:17 [4]

A good crowd and quite a few people I didn't recognise. Tried to run most of it until the bitumen single track. Could hear someone right behind me early on stepping exactly in sync with my feet. I kept hoping they'd pass and get on with it instead of sitting right on my tail. Aaaargh!! Annoying!
Eventually realised the footsteps were the sound of my plait slapping on my t-shirt... haven't worn it that way before and it's grown a bit.

Good to push legs and make the lungs work. Arranged to run into bhole and steven hanley halfway around circum on way down. Had a good chat to bhole and arranged to meet up while cheering flan's team in the Canberra 103k this weekend. Ran down until turning right at bot gdns fence corner where I slowed and did some walking. Still a few aches in hammy, knee. If I did all my preventative back exercises I'd be fine. I'll get there...

Running 23:30 [2]

The jog down.
