Blackie classic route with Brad and Kelly, great company and good walkers. Brad and I needed to have a production meeting and decided walking was much better than a cafe. Once into the meeting we stopped noticing any birds or views so K had to periodically stop us and point things out. We'll do this again when Brad returns from trek in the Himalayas.

Subst to top via NQ path, down via concrete to circum, anticlockwise lap then down SQ path. Very pretty clear and sunny morning. Everyone must have agreed because I've never seen substation parking area so full.

After short walk w/u run up hill to Crumin's in 11:50 - good to break 12. Then we had walk to far water tank all on fire trails with a few run ints here and there. Back down Health run then Pipeline. Tea then I jog walked to shops on way home. Little bit of niggle in L hammy again, I'll keep an eye on it. Defo running a lot better lately.
Rehearsal in arvo where we made progress on I Shakes for Love and Death. feeling better about it now.

A rare Orchid hunting walk on Black Mountain. Very successful! So tiny and so beautiful. I feel like an Initiate to a secret Orchid cult.
We walked a lot to find them and since the sunset on any running intentions this will be my "exercise" for today.

Ran up to Crumin's. Walk on ridge on a pretty cold windy and overcast day. Ran a few short intervals. Highlight was running into Baldilocks and Stephen on bike track. Paused garmins and stopped for a chat. The first question was "Is your bin full yet?". It isn't, which impressed them greatly. Then we chatted about rare orchid spotting on black mtn. I enjoy a chance meeting!

Cup of tea then walked to shops. Dropped in at butchers after a rare attack of desire for meat. "Haven't see you for a long time." said butcher.
"Don't have a cat anymore" said I.
"Beef heart for the cat, wasn't it?"
What a memory! "Yes it was. I'm vegetarian so I don't come anymore. Except for today."
Butcher gets my sausages then says "It's been about 10 years..."

I guess I'm memorable?! Jog- walked home with supplies.

Strength Stability Suppleness (yoga class) 1:30:00 [1]

Last class of term. Good postures were: Camels, waving bamboo, triangles, forward bend triangle variations, slow cat to downward dog (my favourite). Class was followed by too much cake, felt a little bit sick actually.

Ran up to C's then some run ints with her on ridge in the middle of a good walk. C continues to make excellent progress "the first run I don't feel good at all, then the second I feel better. The third I feel really good!". I can hardly believe she used to hate running, runners and anything to do with the icky sport.
Earl Grey tea afterwards where I gave C lessons in shoe lace tying, inspired by the famous Ian's Shoelace Site, of course.
