Corin dam to Mt Gingera via Stockyard Spur with Ric. Times are a bit of a guess. Perfect morning for it, climbing up through fog and cloud made it cool and damp and mysterious until Pryors hut, then climbed out of the cloud into bright warm sunshine for the last bit of single track up to top of Gingera. We stopped to take lots of photos and took it easy on way up to save a bit of energy - good thing as my legs were toast by the end. I've never tried to run this trip so it was a big challenge. Of course I didn't run the first 2k (500m climb in the first 2k with lots of stairs) then after that a pattern of run-walk-take photos felt great.

Had a cheery hello and isn't this wonderful exchange with a runner who looked like he'd run all the way up the steep stockyard spur section - I think it was John winsbury - definitely a familiar face from trail races. Then he ran back down to pick up his run mate.

The views at the top were amazing, a flat blanket of cloud covered everything to the horizon to the east, clear to the west with distant snow visible. I tried to find the tree the John Castley and I took photos in a few years ago. Found one that looked similar and did the pic - I'll see what John thinks.

Wandered through the Pryor arboretum on way back then were about to check out hut but two hikers turned up so we left them to it. Lovely running back down stockyard spur although could really feel myself starting to tire and melt my legs. The final downhill and stairs were hurty but not too bad really. 20k and 1000m of climb done :)

Paddling Molonglo Reach with Ric. So much bird life. Paddled into lake BG then back again. Attempted to sail one of Ric's recycled boats. Nice day for something different.

Midday sun run and a bit warm. Tour of B.Ridge after riding up box gum margin and parking at big junction. Passed a few mtbers which makes me feel like a faker. "I'm not actually mountain bike riding! Just commuting to the start of my run. That's why my clothes are funny and my technique is soft."
Hoped that the run still left me with good adrenaline for the night's performance of Act of Will - I think it did. Wasn't nervous at all although not as good a show as previous friday.

Note

Therapeutic massage today. Was really good! I feel more flexible and loose. Hmmm really ought to do a bit of running. tomorrow probably.
