walked up blackie then did a bunch of 20 second intervals - up hill. Did 8 walking then later did 5 run ints. Good to do something hard while still looking after R hammy. Felt very serene afterwards wandering down in the fading afternoon. It's much warmer up there than at my house. Didn't see a single other person.

Rode up to Crumns for a walk on ridge - she has decided to get fit again. I was very tired after a big night last night where I inhaled way too much second hand smoke and got a hangover from it.

Running ints and drills. On ridge after tea and homemade straight out of the oven chocolate cake. Good to get a bit of today's very good sun and warmth.

To smiths on a Freezing night with one layer too few. Saw friend holly in empire state elevators and with Lucy wise. Great gig and fun to see Pablo and Ida and Bonnie, Alan piano player and other familiar peoples. Sat outside for ages afterwards catching up with holly lucy misha and Carl for a bit. Got gradually colder and colder and inhaled too much smoke.

rode to Imo's on a very foggy damp cold morning. Arrived in good time. Too good; Imo answered door in her fluffy dressing gown. At least Dusty dog was ready and excited. Did our favourite 7k ish loop past 2 dams, up to saddle, down official track then turning off to enjoy the lovely old single track further north. Felt the hammy niggle pretty much the whole time although at a low level. I mixed walk and run lots.
Dusty found a kangaroo leg and would not put it down until back in her yard. The odour could have been a lot worse I suppose. I was lucky to find the top I left in the fork of a tree a week ago - still there! :-)
ok more back and leg exercises needed and maybe should get a massage...

up mt Ainslie via runup route. 157 steps in that last section if you go via the picnic/lookout area. I counted them all.

The run down same way but with a detour on a side track near lower quarry - don't think I've ever been on this track before, well not for a long time anyway. It appeared to have an ancient and eroded concrete surface. I'll call this all running because there was a bit of run on way up. Running feels not too bad although hammy started to niggle by end. Tried to keep good form. I think cold has gone, hurray.

The ride home. Can't believe I did all that on no breakfast (did have a mug of tea with milk though). Metabolic champion, pity about the hammy and slow running ha!
