Corin dam to top of Gingera with Flan. A big effort due to large amount of snow, the most I've seen up there. It was an amazing day and I managed quite a lot of running and felt good. Running down hill in soft snow was especially fun, sometimes so slippy that it was half skiing. There was only one pair of people ahead of us, apart from that it was smooth unmarked snow - so beautiful! Views from top were amazing, the Snowy Mountains were very solidly white.
Plenty of snow along most of stockyard spur. Tiring on the legs because sometimes you'd stay on surface but mostly break through crust, not an easy rhythm to keep up for hours. Very slow going for last part because it was shin to knee deep. Ended up with very cold and sodden feet by top. I took my shoes off, squeezed socks out and warmed feet in my fleece for a while. My feet never got painfully cold on way down so I think it helped.
I ran out of food and nearly out of water too. But had enough clothes, just. Didn't expect to be out for over 7 hours!
Woke up next day and body has been fine. Wonder if I'll hurt on Sunday?
