Running race (Park Run) 21:43 [5] 5.0 km (4:21 / km)
shoes: Adidas Boost Tempo 8

Lloyds Pk Park run.

Ran with Carys which we haven't done for while which was nice. A warm morning and mum and dad looked after the children.

Started off fairly sensibly with a 7:09 mile. Picked off all the fast starters and then got my head down. Felt comfortable running and got up the hill and recovered quickly. 2nd mile was 6:58, was running with some people of similar speed and on the 2nd lap overtook a few more people that I didn't see again. The hill 2nd time round felt tougher, legs more fatigued but mile 3 was 6:56. It wasn't until I got the result sent to me that it said I was 1 second away from my Lloyds Pk Pb. Knowing that, reiterates im in pretty good shape.

Running 50:03 [2] 5.49 mi (9:07 / mi)
shoes: Adidas Boost Tempo 8

Run with Chris and he really suffered. Combination of fitness and heat I think. I think we stopped every mile in the end. Bit of a wasted run for me, didn't get anything out of it apart from fresh air and some sunshine.

Might have to think twice about going out again and do my own thing.

Running 50:00 [3] 5.8 mi (8:37 / mi)
shoes: Adidas Supernova Sequence

Got a cold from Osian over the weekend, it's just a head cold so I have decided to run and swim anyway. I checked my heart rate and it wasn't any higher than normal so I thought I would take a slow run. Chris wanted to run as well so that suites me. We went a little further than i thought and did almost 10k. It was much warmer and the warmest i've run in for abput 6 months (24 degs). Ran at a pace of about 8:30 ish i think which is a minute 1 minute a mile slower than I have been of recent.

Didn't feel to bad considering and could have gone a bit quicker if o'm honest. I'm also not that used to running in the Adidas Supernova.

Running long 1:04:39 [4] 8.33 mi (7:46 / mi)
shoes: Adidas Boost Tempo 8

Want to keep a medium to long run going at the weekends. So did a cut down route on what I have been doing. Ran to BPP. Along the drive up and down to the gate, round into the parkrun area and out at Ravensbourne. Did a loop round the roads and back into the park and home on the same route. 8.3 miles in total, averaged around 7:46 but it felt a little bit of an effort.

I want to feel comfortable at this pace all the time with a view to trying to get faster in general especially as I feel good with my running right now and really feel I can go a bit faster with some training.
