Orienteering race 59:20 [5]

TAY Christmas Score Event, Drummond Castle, all controls of the 60 minute score course in 59:20 - actually not late for once! Found Santa but not the Elf (!), and so scored a near-perfect 570 out of a possible 590. Small miss at 170, poor route choice to 175 (didn't see the track!), and wrong route to 191 (where I went up the crags rather than cross the "uncrossable" wall - which I could have stepped over). Good festive fun!

Road Race race 22:42 [5]

Victoria parkrun in 22:42 on a cool morning. Good steady effort for the first two laps then pushed a little harder in the last one.

(rest day)

Marking exams all day!

Terrain Run 51:56 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run round Jaw Reservoir and Dunellan on a damp but mild and still evening with Ian, Ty, Lindsay and Emma in 51:56. Ian got rather lost coming through the woods.

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [4]

Landed at Glasgow Airport at 6:20, arrived at Scotstoun at 6:58, and changed and ready to start the Garscube Strength and Conditioning session by 7:02! Three circuits with 30 seconds at each station, some surprisingly tough leg exercises, plus the usual warm up and down. I suspect I'll feel the effects of all this tomorrow ...

Road Run 28:00 [3]
(injured)

Steady run round a rather dark and damp Reading University campus, bringing back occasional memories of the JK Sprint race here a few years ago.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Long and frustrating day of travel to Reading. Too tired to run when I arrived, so decided to make it a rest day.
