Road Race race 46:20 [5] 10.0 km (4:38 / km)

Paisley 10 K 2017. First visit to Paisley 10 K - a mostly flat course with just one underpass and one climb up to the cathedral in the last km. Felt bad immediately, but kept trying all the way and, although I was hoping for sub-45, in the end I was quite pleased to have been able to keep going all the way for 46:20.

Road Run 5:00 [1]

Brief warm up and down - probably should have done more of both!

Road Race race 24:29 [4] 5.0 km (4:54 / km)

First visit to the new Ruchill parkrun #19. Steady effort on a two and three quarters lap course with quite a lot of climb on wide but slightly rough tracks.

Road Run 8:00 [3]

Warm up checking out the course before the parkrun - it's been a long time since I was last running in Ruchill park!

Terrain Run 1:00:15 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run. Anticlockwise tour of The Whangie with Dave, Mirjam, Ty, Emma and Alice in 60:15. Poured just before we started, but the rain stopped and the sun came out to create a glorious full 180 degree double rainbow on the climb. The rain returned later and my trusty old right Icebug totally fell apart leaving me to do the final descent in one shoe and one sock!

Note
(rest day)

Fourteen hour day at work - can't be healthy!

Trail Run 49:23 [4]

From Clober Road carpark, up through Mugdock along the boardwalk to the Visitors' Centre and then back via the Hole-in-the-Wall carpark at reasonable pace feeling good all the way in 49:23. Light just starting to fade by the end - Autumn is coming!
