Orienteering race 1:11:40 [3] 6.2 km (11:34 / km) +345m 9:03 / km

TAY SOSOL, Kinnoull Hill, Blue Course (6.2 km, 345 m) in 71:40. Steady effort on a glorious sunny but cold day with clear blue skies. Not racing, and made plenty of mistakes (1, 3, 5, 18 and 21), but great to be out on such a fantastic day in surprisingly runnable terrain.

Ruchill parkrun #30 in 23:46. Pushing all the way on a crisp, sunny morning and pleased with a Ruchill PB by 18 seconds despite stiff back/hip (from last weekend?) and stiff knees (from Thursday?).

Terrain Run 51:54 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run, Dunellan and Jaw Reservoir at brisk pace with Dave, Ian, Ty and Alice. Deep and glutinous mud either side of the new track through the woods. Easily the slowest of the group, partly due to various niggles and tweaks from intervals and/or last weekend.

Usual mid-week road loop at reasonable pace (slightly quicker than a couple of weeks ago).

Tuesday Oct 31, 2017 #

Interval Session intervals 51:26 [5]

Garscube interval session on top quality artificial track (not the usual mud fest) in 51.26. Warm up (7:25), then 6 x 800 m in between 3.23 and 3.27, then warm down (5.30). Tough session.
