ELO SOSOL Binning Wood, Blue Course (6.8 km) in 56.11. Steady effort on a damp day with heavy legs after yesterday and a big mistake (approximately 3 minutes?) hacking through and around various patches of green at number 3. Knee quite sore by the end.

Kirkcaldy parkrun #154 in 27.26. Steady jog round the "two and an extra bit" lap course on a damp morning as a warm up for the Devil's Burdens Relay. Knee not 100%.

Hill Race race 1:16:27 [5] 11.5 km (6:39 / km) +420m 5:37 / km

Leg 3 (11.5 km, 420 m) of the Devil's Burdens Relay for CLYDE with Ty in 76:27. Brutal climb at the start then a very strong side wind getting to the first checkpoint before running across the tops to the eastern side of West Lomond before a final 5 k gently downhill to the finish. Knee held up better than I expected, but I'll be interested to see what it feels like tomorrow morning!

CLYDE Terrain Run. 356 Trig anticlockwise returning via the bunker with Dave, Ty and Alice in 54.31 on a relatively mild evening with very wet conditions underfoot after all the recent snow. Knee still not quite right.

Garscube Strength and Conditioning for the first time this year: 3 x circuits (30 seconds per station), plus warm up, warm down, and the dreaded "clams" exercise. A bit stiff and sore the next morning.

Tuesday Jan 23, 2018 #

Interval Session intervals 55:58 [5]

Garscube intervals at the track. First interval session of the year. Warm up (10 mins), 8 x 800 m in between 3:29 and 3:33 feeling okay right to the end (gradually moving through the pack as the others faded), and warm down (4 mins). Knee better than expected after it warmed up. Session 55:58.
