Sunday Feb 4 #

11 AM

Orienteering race 26:38 [5] 3.3 km (8:04 / km)
(injured)

ESOC Sprint-O, Prologue (+ SOUL), Men's Vets (3.3 km) in 26.38. Clean run on a relatively easy area made trickier by having to cross the river and canal, and by another hard-to-read overprint.
2 PM

Orienteering race 23:30 [5] 3.0 km (7:50 / km)
(injured)

ESOC Sprint-O, Chase, Men's Vets (3.0 km) in 23.30. Largely solo effort just off the back of a small pack, with small time losses at 1 (speaking to an unhappy local about a control in their car park), 3 (small wobble), 11 (hesitation due to moved control), and 11-12 (brief excursion down wrong track). Knee still sore. Disappointing pace over the ground, but (like the parkrun yesterday) it probably reflects my current lack of speed ... I hope my stamina is in better shape!

Saturday Feb 3 #

Road Race race 23:22 [5] 5.0 km (4:40 / km)
(injured)

Pollok parkrun #486 in 23.22 on a slightly damp morning. Trying fairly hard and so disappointed not to go sub-23, but probably a fair reflection of where I am at the moment. Knee a bit stiff and grumbly. Rachel's 50th parkrun!

Road Run 5:00 [1]
(injured)

Jog into Park as warmup.

Friday Feb 2 #

Note
(injured)

Rest day. Right knee not right.

Thursday Feb 1 #

Terrain Run 55:08 [4]
(injured)

CLYDE Terrain Run with Dave, Ty and Alice. The Whangie (anti-clockwise) on a cold evening with plenty of frozen snow and ice making the tracks slippery. Knee sore on final descent.

Wednesday Jan 31 #

Strength and Conditioning 1:00:00 [4]
(injured)

Garscube Strength and Conditioning Session. 60 mins. Repeat of last week (including the dreaded clams) but with 40 (rather than 30) seconds per station.

Tuesday Jan 30 #

Interval Session intervals 49:21 [5]
(injured)

Garscube Intervals at Todd Campus. Warm up (16.15), 1 x 800 m (3.38), 1 x 1000 m (4.29), 1 x 1200 m (5.27), 1 x 1000 m (4.36), 1 x 1200 (5.26), then short warm down (4.11) on a wet and blustery evening. Right knee stiff.

Monday Jan 29 #

Note
(injured)

Rest after the weekend. Knee felt remarkably good!
