Orienteering race 52:00 [5] 6.5 km (8:00 / km) +120m 7:19 / km

ESOC SOSOL Dalkeith Park, Blue (6.5 km, 120 m) in 52:00. A big 180 degree error off the start (-2.00), but thereafter pretty steady and solid on a brilliantly sunny Sunday lunchtime, with a sub-optimal route choice 5-6 (-0.20) the only other navigational error. An enjoyable workout on a lovely November day.

9 AM

Trail Race race 25:11 [5] 5.0 km (5:02 / km)

Drumchapel parkun #123 in 25:11 on a chilly but sunny morning. Drumchapel parkrun is always tough, and today was no exception! Steady effort only about 30 seconds outside my Drumchapel PB.

Trail Run 5:00 [1]

Gentle warm up.
2 PM

Urban Orienteering race 42:31 [3] 4.9 km (8:41 / km)

CLYDE AGM Urban Event (4.9 km) in 42:31. Steady plod round the newly extended Milngavie map. Some interesting right/left route choices. Overtaken by Dave and Donald near the end. A steady effort, but never really trying.

Cycling 1:10:00 [3]

Cycling onto and back out of Leiden, including checking out several dead ends and a couple of building sites in the gathering gloom while trying to get back to the hotel without a map. Feeling rather more human.

Note
(rest day)

A 4 am start got me to my conference in Leiden at 8:55 am UK time (9:55 am local time), i.e. earlier than I would probably have got to work in Glasgow! Pretty tired in the afternoon after my talk.
