Orienteering race 56:59 [4] 6.2 km (9:11 / km) +170m 8:05 / km

FVO SOSOL Barr Wood, Brown Course (6.2 km, 170 m) in 56:59 (-3:10 errors). Melting snow made conditions underfoot tricky, making for a physical as well as a technical challenge. Big overshoot at 4 (-2:30) and small wobbles at 11 (-0.30) and 24 (-0.10) plus a scary not-really-in-control slide down the steep slippery slope to 3 (which lots of other people also struggled with).

Trail Race race 23:31 [5] 5.0 km (4:42 / km)

Plean parkrun #51. An unexpectedly rapid return to Plean on a cold and crisp (but not wet or slippery) morning with Ben and Josie. Felt easier than last week, but ran almost exactly the same time (23:31 compared to 23:35 last week). Cold, wet and slippery when I got back to Bearsden. Disappointed that my official time (24:03) is wrong, and even more disappointed that I was denied a Plean PB when they refused to correct it.

Terrain Run 50:54 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run, The Slacks anticlockwise on a cold and clear evening with Dave, Ty, Mirjam, Iain and Alice in 50:54. Surprisingly cosy in thick tights and a thermal layer usually reserved for skiing. Great views across Erskine Bridge.

Strength and Conditioning 20:00 [1]

Garscube Strength and Conditioning. Introductory and testing session of 70 minutes, but probably will only about 20 minutes of exercise.

Interval Session intervals 1:12:54 [5]

Garscube intervals at track. Warm up, stretching, 8 x 800 m all between 3:29 and 3:34 except last one in 3:14, warm down, stretching, jog back to car. Tough session (72:54) on a chilly evening.
