Feeling a bit better after a reasonable night of sleep, and so, despite still definitely not feeling 100%, managed to have surprisingly decent run at FVO SOL 2, Dumyat, Short Brown (7.7 km, 350 m) in 76:41 (-1:25). No real navigational mistakes on a physically demanding but fundamentally fairly easy area, but did take a rather circuitous route on the long leg back into the forest (17-18) which probably cost me about a minute. Rather pleased in the circumstances.

Too full of cold to go to the Scottish Middle Distance Championships, but just jogged round Victoria parkrun #270 in 26:44 on an increasingly sunny morning.

CLYDE Terrain Run anticlockwise round the The Whangie with Alice. Slow plod to the top while Alice did the full loop. Mild and still night. Just getting dark as we started.

Strength and Conditioning 50:00 [4]

Last Garscube Strength and Conditioning session. 50 minutes. A gentle start (such as balancing exercises), followed by some "clams" exercises for old times sake, and finishing with an approximately 20 minute "challenge" session with many squats plus press ups, sit up and lunges.

My cold has now arrived. Snuffle, snuffle.

Garscube Intervals at the track. Warm up (6:06), 6 x 600 m in 2:30, 2:28, 2:15 (leading - too fast!), 2:31, 2:32 and 2:27, warm down and stretching (11:20). Session 49:05.

Cold on the way. Snuffle.
