Orienteering race 1:05:54 [5] 5.8 km (11:22 / km) +360m 8:40 / km

TAY SOSOL, Loch Ordie, Blue (5.8 km, 360 m) in 65:54 (with approximately 2:30 of errors). Great open area with enough contours, rocks and heather to prose a real physical and technical challenge on a sunny but chilly day (I should have worn gloves!). Stopped short at the wrong boulder at 2 (-1:00), parallel error at 4 (-1:30), and possible poor route choice going round on 6-7. Gained significant time on Pat B (71:04) on the faster downhill legs towards the end (from 7 to the finish). Pleased with 5/36 on the course (and only 6 minutes down on the winning time of 59:54). Well worth the drive, and much more fun than the 10 K road race I had originally planned to do.

Road Race race 23:14 [5] 5.0 km (4:39 / km)

Ruchill parkrun #127 in 23:14. Hard effort on a chilly morning, and so pleased to get a Ruchill PB by one second! (Rachel also got a Ruchill PB, but in her case by a massive two seconds!)

Road Run 10:00 [1]

Gentle warm up before the parkrun,

Terrain Run 58:02 [4]

CLYDE Terrain Run, 356 Trig clockwise with Dave and Iain on a cold evening with ice on some of the puddles in 58:02. Took quite a while to warm up despite wearing two fairly thick layers and a jacket. My torch went out almost immediately, and Dave's backup torch didn't work at all, so I ended up holding Iain's front bike light in my hand most of the way round!

Night Orienteering race 46:08 [3] 4.0 km (11:32 / km)

FVO Night Event, Abbey Craig, Long (4.0 km) in 46.08. Mass start on a cool evening but quickly on my own for a pleasant (and virtually error free) run on a small and steep but surprisingly interesting area.

Road Run 10:00 [1]

Jog along the road to the start of the night event.

Interval Session intervals 53:51 [5]

Garscube interval session at the track. Warm up (5:19), then 5 x 1200 all between 5:05 and 5:12, then warm down (5:00). A solid session on a chilly evening.
