Road Run 25:31 [4]

Slightly brisker-than-anticipated out-and-back run along the Fukuoka seafront with John Christy on a mild early evening after more than 24 hours sitting in various planes and airports. Good to get out into the fresh air.

Note

3 am start for a 26 hour journey (including three flights) to Fukuoka in Japan.

Terrain Run 41:27 [3]

CLYDE Terrain Run. Steady anticlockwise(ish) loop of the moor and woods at Loch Ardinning with Dave and Ceri on a cool but still evening in 41:27, including a visit to a remarkably well preserved WW2 bunker hidden in the woods.

Night Orienteering race 54:36 [4] 5.2 km (10:30 / km)

FVO Night Event, Hermitage Woods, Long (5.2 km) in 54:36. Big turnout for a "race of two halves" on a mild evening: the first half was fast and furious round the campus and the second half much slower scrambling up and down the muddy slopes in the woods. Three errors: ran right past 4 and then took a poor route back to it (-2.00?), confused by the two crossing points over the high wall (-0.30?), and then totally lost concentration and missed 19 right at the end (-2.00?).

Interval Session intervals 1:08:55 [5]

Garscube interval session at Todd Campus on a damp evening (but just missing the rain, which was nice). Warm up including some drills (20:00) then 8 x 600m in between 2:34 and 2:39, then warm down with Robin (12:03). Session 68:55. Felt better than expected, and right knee seems to be okay again.
