Sunday May 23 #

11 AM

Terrain Run 49:09 [4] 5.21 km (9:26 / km) +146m 8:16 / km

FVO Local Event at Coilhallan North, Blue Course (5.2 km, 130 m climb) in 59:11. A proper, tough orienteering area. Great to be out in real terrain again. Must have stopped my watch by accident when I tripped over an old wire fence coming out of 11.

Saturday May 22 #

5 PM

Cycling 1:07:49 [3] 23.68 km (2:52 / km) +241m 2:44 / km

Slight variation on the usual Milngavie/Torrence/Baldernock/Mugdock/Milngavie loop starting up Boclair Road on a sunny afternoon.

Friday May 21 #

Note
(rest day)

Rest day.

Thursday May 20 #

6 PM

Cycling 8:59 [1] 2.6 km (3:27 / km)

Cycle to intervals.

Interval Session 33:50 [4] 5.05 km (6:42 / km)

Garscube Interval Session. 12 x 200 m. Getting dropped each time, but managed to not let the gap get too large.

Cycling 21:25 [2] 5.05 km (4:15 / km) +54m 4:02 / km

Cycle from intervals.

Orienteering 44:06 [3] 5.87 km (7:31 / km) +48m 7:13 / km

Green Course (4.9 km, 125 m). Official time 43:09. Ironically, the latest Covid rules meant that I could go to this FVO event in Dunblane, but not the CLYDE event in Glasgow tomorrow. First proper visit to a surprisingly interesting and varied area on a sunny evening. Wobbles at 2, 15 and 16-17, plus a poor route choice 21-22 which involved picking my way along the side of the river and then crawling up a sandy slope with brambles. Flagged badly towards the end, but a good workout, and it was good to see several people I haven't seen in the flesh for a long time.

Tuesday May 18 #

5 PM

Terrain Run 49:32 [3] 6.59 km (7:31 / km) +227m 6:25 / km

Usual loop of the Whangie with rain at the start and bright sunshine at the end while R walked with Pippin. Slightly sore knees after Sunday.

Monday May 17 #

Note
(rest day)

Rest day. Hand and knee getting gradually better, and so probably time to remove the "injured" flag.
