Skiing (Jackson) 2:22:10 [3] 39.94 km (16.9 kph)

Note

I am eating so much. Must do something about that.

Tomorrow.

No wonder America has an obesity problem.

Got a free dessert today, though, because there was a metal staple embedded in it.could've been quite nasty.suspect I could have sued them, although couldn't be bothered.

Note
(rest day)

Transfer to Jackson. It's very wild-west here.

Weather was a bit rubbish so went to the gym and did some bike + cross trainer. Reminded me of why I dislike the gym; should just have faced the weather. Will in future.

Skiing 1:15:03 [3] 23.79 km (19.0 kph)
(injured)

Plus some extra stuff garmin decided wasn't worthy of recording.

Knee feels mainly better so will try another run tomorrow.

Ski conditions good :)

Skiing (Snowbird) 1:23:49 [3] 23.23 km (16.6 kph)

Garmin is broken for skiing; moving time is more than total time... maybe I'll come back and edit them later. Although probably not.

Slight incident where someone in our group collided with someone else in our group, landed face first in the snow and got a significant black eye (which was not that bad) and serious concussion (which was) to the extent that they had to be stretchered down the mountain and taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City and the medical guys were saying things like "it's really important for you not to go to sleep; please try really hard to stay awake", and she couldn't remember what country she was in or what day of the week it was, or anything about what had happened.

But 6 hours later she got back, and was fine. Reminded us how much of a dangerous sport it is, though.

Skiing (Day 1 Alta) 1:47:52 [3] 29.5 km (16.4 kph)
(injured)

I think the Garmin ski recording has changed and it's now only doing moving time and only downhill distance, so it looks significantly smaller than on the past but I don't think it is!

5-layers cold.

Running injury doesn't affect my skiing :)
Conditions pretty good, not as good as Japan last year, though. Hotel is good, especially the food. Steak yesterday and salmon today, both excellent.

Still not been shot.

Running - Trail (Alta ) 34:21 [3] 5.02 km (6:51 / km) +194m 5:44 / km
(injured)

A mile on road, then 2 miles on snow. Tough at this altitude!

Knee still hurts when running unforts.
