Sunday Jan 21 #

Note
rhr:47 slept:8.0 (rest day)

Lots of walking around so feet had a fair bit of loading so didn't want to run today. Its been a big week anyway and haven't been getting enough sleep to recovery properly so feeling quite tired.

Good run, things are improving.
Getting better at pacing myself - this started out quite a bit slower than I think I usually would but I still felt quite strong at the end. Was pushing to catch another lady. I think first half could've been a bit faster though still.
Nice to have some positives this week.

Running warm up/down 14:43 [2] 2.03 km (7:15 / km) +9m 7:06 / km

Running intervals 22:22 [5] 5.02 km (4:27 / km) +1m 4:27 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 19 #2

5km of 200 on, 200 off around the oval at Moore Park.
Sluggish and humid morning and not moving very fast.
Reps were a bit quicker than planned and then I kept cutting the distance of the recoveries shorter because I wasn't going to make it back to the start because they were too slow. I think the turn arounds took up a lot of time. Would've been better if I could've run the whole way around the oval but there was a heap of mud on one side.
So I had to add a rep to make up the extra distance.
Shoulders were quite hunched so breathing wasn't good and I was struggling at the end.
Next time I do this session it will be better.

Warm up + run throughs

Running intervals (Speed Sesh) 25:21 [5] 4.3 km (5:54 / km) +23m 5:45 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 19 #2

Intraining speed session.
3 x 3 x 200m on, 200m off with a 2min break between sets. Then a 5min break followed by a 1km TT.
Time includes rests and recoveries. Ran the first set with one of the coaches, then she stopped running. Took the second set a bit too fast because I was trying to hang on to the back of the group. Third set was similar times to the first one but I was with the group so I think they must've slowed down.
Really good session, was so good to run with others!!
200s: 50, 45, 45, 30, 39, 33, 41, 44, 42.

Up Cootha, along the top then down a new track, up to the reservoir then home. Fun!
Swapped yesterday's long run to today because it was soooo hot yesterday and my foot was a bit off.
Glad I did because the weather was perfect this morning and I felt good running even at the end.
