Pittwater training with Krystal shadowing and talking through everything which was super helpful (thank you!!).
Started out super unsure but it got a bit better as I got better at interpreting things. Need a lot more dunes practise.
Fun but was super hungry the whole time.
Time not including stops to talk so elapsed time is closer to 1hr 12.

Chasing start at Curryjong Rivulet.
Starting just behind Zoe so had to be careful to not gun it from the start just to catch up to her.
Just ran my own race, kept my head in it and navigated well but was a bit behind myself which wasn't ideal. Made sure not to run too fast so that I didn't lose myself.
Was fun, nice to have some proper navigation in a race which was a bit of a change and nice to end the carnival with a win!

Day 2 at Lovelybanks West.
Good run, kept head in it when I needed to and made sure my legs were moving fast when they needed to. Was saving enough energy so that I could still think and run well for the vague bit at the end.
Very unsure to the first control but I should've gone for it knowing that the fence would catch me anyway. Still a bit cautious for the next three but luckily was able to make up time on the run along the creek.
Silly lost time on #15, should've just read the map better.
Fun and a win was a nice bday present!

Day 1 at Lovelybanks East.
Better than yesterday. Just tried to be as safe as possible. Super cautious to #1, then lost some more time taking a super safe route into #2 going around to the end of the cliffs then following them in. But I knew what I was doing the whole time. Couldn't see any of the fence crossings so lost some time going to #7 and another lil bit because I couldn't climb out of the gully to get to #8.
Just a runners course, not a middle distance at all but fun terrain and happy that my run wasn't as bad as yesterday.

Prologue sprint at UTAS Sandy Bay.
Not good. Loo queue in quarantine took forever so was very rushed for warmup and didn't have time to get into a good mental zone properly.
Stuffed the first control because I picked a good route but when I got there, I couldn't see a way through so had to find another way and then go back and take it. Maybe if the run to the triangle was on the map or the numbers weren't covering route choice options I could've done this better. Some simple organiser/controller jobs which would take no time but make a huge difference to the event.
Thinking too much about the wrong things and also really feeling it physically so made a mistake on #8, going to the wrong side of the building as it wasn't really clear on map/descriptions which side it was on.
Crossing was an unwelcome interruption because there was no cars but I was still made to stop and wait so got super confused on #13 and went down the wrong set of stairs so lost a bit of time there too.
Total time loss is at least 2 mins. Not happy but not taking all the blame either.
