Sunday Jun 6 #

rhr:44 slept:7.5

Had planned a run but was too tired when I got home from working and with the little sleep I've had the past few nights it didn't seem like it would be worth it anyway.

2 x broken mile of 3 x 400m with 200m float. 1min between sets.
Very tired after working since 7am so changed from the original session to this and then bailed on this before the final set because I still wasn't anywhere close to the target times.
Felt good in the warm up but didn't actually have any energy because I hadn't eaten since a little lunch at 1.
Anyway nice evening and the lights at the track were still on from the rugby game which finished up while I was doing my warm up.
Splits: 90, 93, 94 (6:31); 93, 93, 92 (6:33).

Running warm up/down 10:31 [2] 2.04 km (5:09 / km) +5m 5:06 / km

Swimming 58:22 [2] 3.0 km (19:27 / km)

Big pool still closed so lots of laps in the little pool. Lucky to get a break between works today!
A few x 25 on/off at the start of the last k.
Warm like summer in the little pool in the sun :D

Thursday Jun 3 #

rhr:44 slept:9.2

Bailed on track this morning bc I was too sore from Tuesday gym still and figured I would be more productive if I slept a bit more. Then it rained so I didn’t want to run on the slippery grass at the oval. So I planned to go to the pool after teaching but it was closed to public. Would’ve gone to the other pool but couldn’t justify the 45min drive in traffic. And then the assignment I though was due Saturday turned out to be due tomorrow lunchtime instead. Anyway I will just have to try to squeeze something in around work on the weekend.

Intraining session!! Been a while!
6 x 1km with 1min stand rec.
Very fun and very nice to be back.
Plan was to start at 4 and go 1s faster each time.
Felt good, I find it very easy mentally to run around here which is half the battle.
Cold, especially hands but eventually warmed up a bit by the end.
Pretty sunrise this morning. The view here never gets old.
