Felt better than I expected after TC10 and not having many trail miles in this summer. Overall felt pretty good, one fall that resulted in a goose egg on the knee...but fine, last couple miles felt a side stitch coming on...dehydrated? In need of salt? Warm to start, 62 and humid. Was thankful to have Christopher push me along miles 5-11ish, then he took off down the hill for a great finish. Was fast enough today to finish first female, I'll take it :).

I had an hour session today with Malcolm Macaulay. With on and off reocurring leg issues this past year I was hoping he could tell me why these issues keep happening (even though right now I feel pretty good...bad timing on the appointment).

After having me walk, squat, etc, etc, etc.....he determined I was weak in the hips (I had a feeling that might be the case). I have been given a number of exercises to perform daily to try to correct this.

After watching me run he suggested I try to shorten my stride some, I extend my legs out too far and he would like see that change a bit. He suggested I work on my cadence.

I also had the chance to try out his lightspeed system on the treadmill. I am going to try a few sessions on it out of curiosity.

Not sure what hat I pulled that race out of, but I'll take it! Very happy considering my training the last 6 months.
6:34-6:34-6:59-6:32-6:47-6:57-6:58-6:40-6:47-6:14. You can tell where it was more uphill! Ran with Anna almost the whole race, nice to work off each other.
223/9201 overall, 38/5985 female and 2/1024 40-44 age group.
