Happy :) Best I've felt in a really long time!
4/1342 females. Overall - 63/2192. Age group - 2/136.
Upper 30's at the start and 12mph wind. First half tailwind, second half headwind.
Rolling hills. One long killer hill (7:20ish mile). Uphill finish too, I was depleted by then.
6:35-6:58-6:34-6:45-6:48-6:40-7:01-6:45-7:23-6:42-6:53-6:57-7:04-6:32 pace for the last .23.
Dad walked the half, very proud of him! I think I started something, he's talking about future races. Yay!

Note
(rest day)

Normally would have done yesterday's workout today, but I knew we would be up late last night and it'd be a long day today with a fair amount of walking around.
Off to Madison soon! Nervous and excited!

Easy run with 6 strides.
Felt light on my feet.
1 shooting star!
Now a 6 hour drive to Appleton.
48 hours to race day. Fuel up, rest and stay positive!
There was a great saying by Jillian Michaels on my running desk calendar this week:
Your legs are not giving out. You head is giving up. Keep going.....

Another planned rest day. Probably good though. Cold symptoms back again Monday, but started perking back up yesterday afternoon. Thank goodness, short lived again! Feeling pretty good today!
