Note

OMG, feels so good to elevate!! If the swelling would just ease when I'm upright things would be a lot better. Next 5 days no work! Appleton trip, I should get lots of elevation in....pretty sure I will be hounded to stay off my feet.
It WILL get better!
It WILL get better!
It WILL get better!

Note

Saw a surgeon today, Dr. Davis. He doesn't feel surgery is necessary. That's good, I just hope he is right. I was so sick to my stomach from nerves before my appointment, still trying to relax.

He said the fact that I walked 2 miles on it after it happened and it is still positioned where it is at is a good sign of stability.

I am to continue to try to walk on it (let my pain level be my judge), he is ok if I can get down to one crutch, then no crutches before my next appointment (4/10). But NO walking on it without the boot.

The pain is the worst in the morning when I get up, he said that is normal.

Note

My toes were smaller this morning!! Lots of elevation the past 24 hours with not having to work today.
Decided on a Lethal Weapon marathon this weekend, movie number 1 done.
2 hour nap this afternoon...wowzers! A gal gets tired lazing around ;)

Note

I decided Wednesday night to go ahead with the surgery if needed. I see a surgeon Monday morning and he will evaluate at that point if he thinks I should or shouldn't have surgery. I am to try to put a little weight on it when walking around (OUCH!) and take it out of the boot and move my ankle around (OUCH!). He wants to see how stable it is (I will get new Xrays on Monday).

Nurse said it will cause my ankle/foot to swell more so elevation is my friend. It is already super swollen, hard to believe it could swell more!

I am to continue with 2 extra strength tylenol every 6 hours.

DEVELOPMENT.....so I looked up to see who my Dr. was, turns out it is Tammy's Husband. I messaged her and she and Hubby are off today, so he looked on line at my xrays and said I won't need surgery! It is a 3rd opinion, but hopeful! Regardless, I will see him Monday for a final opinion.
