Saturday Oct 8 #

11 AM

running 37:52 [2] 6.23 km (6:05 / km)

ran gently down the point to see whether my knee was coping. knee was fine but i was coughing up some phlegm which wasn't very nice

Friday Oct 7 #

(rest day)

didn't go for a run as my knee was a bit sore from swimming yesterday so I'm going to run over the weekend instead. was a,so really tired and would probably have done something to it as i wouldn't have been concentrating. went cycling and walking alongside Iris who was riding instead

Thursday Oct 6 #

6 PM

Swimming 1:00:00 [4] 2.0 km (30:00 / km)

did loads of lengths as Arlene wasn't there so John took us and we just did lots of 40m knee was a bit sore at the start but it loosened off as i got going which was good. saw Sara before swimming and she did some Reiki on my knee and said swimming would be really good for it.

Wednesday Oct 5 #

5 PM

running 27:45 [2] 4.4 km (6:18 / km)

ran down towards the point and then before turning off the route i would have taken to go down to the point, i went up the path to the chapel and then up onto the hill above the chapel, ran up there and then back down and then back along the road.
this was my test run to see if i could go to the JHIs but my knee was quite twingy when running one terrain and i didn't really feel safe so i was going quite slowly along the terrain part.
don't think i am going to go to the JHIs :(
but i feel like it is the best decision and i wouldn't be able to run well and i might do something worse to my knee and that wouldn't be good. it also means that i won't be letting the team down and Mairi can run well for Scotland.
