Been icing and stretching. Today went for Acupuncture treatment. Seems to have helped. 10 days until my 10 mile race. Hope to heal by then. Even if I do not run until then, I feel like I am in good enough shape to still run 75 or better.
Right heel is very sore - was hard to even walk last night. Today was better, but right foot was also swollen. Obviously the result of hard pounding doing intervals and racing on the track. But that is the chance one takes. Would not do it different. Should recover in a few days. Just hope I run the 10 mile race in CA on vacation.
Gorgeous, sunny day along the Lakewalk. Snow was semi-packed from previous runners, walkers and fat tires, but sill tough going. Nice run after yesterday's hard race.
Ran the mile in 6:07.72 at USATFMN indoor meet. Broke the over 70 record by 6.72 seconds. Hard effort. 91, 91, 93, 92. 1500 meter split was 5:44.4. Wanted a little faster, but that was all I had today. Very pleased.
