Saturday Mar 30 #

running 24:44 [3] 2.5 mi (9:54 / mi)

On the Lakewalk. Ran two miles in 20:08 - constant running. Then walked 1/2 mile in 8:25; then ran 1/2 mile in 4:36. Knee is sore, but felt better the longer I was running/walking. First real run in two months, so cannot complain about being sooooo sloooooow. Goal of the GB 1/2: finish!

Thursday Mar 28 #

Walking 32:40 [3] 2.0 mi (16:20 / mi)

Walk on the Lakewalk. Knee felt better, but not ready for running

Wednesday Mar 27 #

Note
(injured)

Not sure the problem, but today it is harder to walk than it was before the cortisone shot. Yesterday felt ok, but today the knee feels different than before the cortisone shot, but more discomfort. Will give the knee a couple of days to completely drain and for the shot to make full impact. But worried there is something else work with my knee.

Tuesday Mar 26 #

running 32:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:40 / mi)

Finally, after two months of no running and only 160 miles the past six months, I ran. On the Lakewalk. Would run 2 minutes, then walk one minute, repeat. Some soreness in knee, will probably take a few days the knee to feel healed. Wow, it is going to be a long road back, but hopefully I can do it. 88 days until the 1/2 marathon; lots of work ahead of me. But just take it slow and easy for now.

Monday Mar 25 #

Note
(rest day)

Had my knee drained of fluid and then a cortisone shot this morning. I am suppose to take it easy today; then I can RUN TOMORROW!!!

Sunday Mar 24 #

A chilly walk
